The Planning Club

The Planning Club is Whitwell & Co.'s structured financial planning program. Top Tier is for households with $2 million or more in investable assets under our management, however they got there. Elite is the standard planning relationship at $2,500 to onboard and $250 per month, for households building toward the $2 million threshold, or for clients already at $2 million or more who specifically want planning-only advice without an AUM relationship. Foundational is a lighter, flat-retainer engagement designed for two specific client profiles. Every member receives fiduciary advice and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee.

How It Works

The Planning Club begins with a comprehensive discovery meeting where we learn about your financial life, your goals, and the concerns that keep you up at night. From there we build a personalized roadmap covering investments, tax strategy, estate structure, insurance, and cash-flow optimization.

Every member receives a written financial plan, progress reviews, and unlimited access to their advisory team. We do not believe in set-it-and-forget-it planning; your plan evolves as your life does.

New members start with a 60-day trial period. If you are not completely satisfied with the value we deliver, you owe us nothing. That is how confident we are in the process.

Three Membership Tiers

Members join at one of three tiers, chosen carefully at onboarding to match assets, life stage, and how much ongoing planning support is needed. All three include fiduciary advice and the 60-day satisfaction guarantee.

Top Tier

For households with $2 million or more in investable assets under our management, regardless of how those assets were acquired. The planning fee is waived at this asset level, so the AUM advisory fee is the only fee.

AUM advisory fee. No planning fee.

Elite

The standard planning relationship. Right for households building toward the $2 million threshold, and for clients already at $2 million or more who specifically want planning-only advice without an AUM relationship.

$2,500 to onboard, then $250 per month.

Foundational

A lighter, flat-retainer engagement designed for two specific client profiles.

$500 to onboard, then $125 per month.

Building the foundation

Young professionals under 30, single and without children, who are establishing the financial habits and structures that compound for the rest of their life.

A narrow, specific need

Clients of any age whose need is focused and bounded, for example a Medicare-only review late in life, where full ongoing planning is not the right fit.

Who This Is For

Who this is for
  • Established families with $2M or more in investable assets (Top Tier)
  • Full-scope planning clients who prefer a flat retainer (Elite)
  • Under-30 single professionals just starting out (Foundational)
  • Anyone with a narrow, specific question that does not need full ongoing planning, for example a Medicare-only review (Foundational)
Who this is not for
  • Day traders or speculative investors
  • Those seeking only insurance products
  • Clients looking for a robo-advisor experience

Costs, Fit, and Alternatives

  • Planning is ongoing, not a one-time document; the value compounds over years, not in a single meeting.
  • If you want only investment management with no planning, or only insurance products, this is not the right fit.
  • There is no long-term lock-in: every tier includes a 60-day satisfaction guarantee, so you can test the value first.
  • Tiers are chosen at onboarding to match your assets and life stage, so you are not paying for scope you do not need.
